After the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, there’s always been been rumors of a possible Middle Earth themed fun park that would be developed, at one point there was even flirtatious talks between Universal, New Line, the Tolkien estate, and whoever else was involved to make it happen, but in the end, unfortunately nothing came to fruition, and the rumors disappeared entirely.
That is, until the rumors were brought back to life by the most unlikely creature imaginable, a Hobbit.
The success of The Hobbit has brought all necessary parties back to the table for serious discussions to see this Middle Earth theme park come to life, at least that’s what the rumors are saying (which came from a very credible source).
If it’s true, Universal is currently trying to obtain the rights to move forward with a Middle Earth adventure park, to compliment it’s Harry Potter attraction, and to compete with Disney’s purchase of Star Wars.
Again, we have to stress than these are only rumors, however it came from a credible source, so we assume there might be some truth here, although we aren’t able to confirm.
Universal Studios Hollywood or Florida, you name the place and we’ll be there should this ever happen.
